Hair today...gone tomorrow!
CURRENT TOTAL RAISED/DONATED: £1660.42*

As most reading this page will know, since I was a teenager I have had long hair. VERY long hair!

A charity very close to my heart for personal reasons, Brain Tumour UK, desperately needs funds to continue it's great work of research and support. Inspired by the incredible fundraising efforts of others I decided the best thing to do would be to make a personal sacrifice of my own!
On June 22nd 2008 at a Brain Tumour UK fundraising event, the ponytail is coming off. All of it. Short-haired from now on!
Please dig deep if you can, even £1 will make such a difference to the charity, and sponsor me for this, there are several ways you can donate and sponsor!
The easiest way is via your credit or debit card - click on the image below. If you're a UK taxpayer the Government will donate an extra 28p to every £1 you donate aswell. Please remember to mention me in your comments when you donate or I won't be able to add your kindness to the totaliser.
If you'd rather not donate that way, you can send me a cheque or do a direct bank transfer. If that's the case, or you have any queries, pop me an email at
Please support this event all you can by telling your friends and family to help. You can also find me and this event on facebook and myspace - click on the images below to sign up and support the event!
Each year in the UK, more than 18,000 people of all ages are diagnosed with brain tumours. 40% originate in the brain itself. The rest spread from elsewhere and affect 20% or more of all cancer patients. Incidence has increased over the last 30 years but the diagnosis for far too many brain tumour patients remains bleak.
The effect on patient, family and friends is profound. Yet research is grossly under-funded, and support for those affected is fragmented and inadequate.
